It meets the necessary criteria for the safety of equipment subject to possible electrostatic discharge in explosive atmospheres.
The UNE 109100:2026 standard shows the necessary characteristics of the equipment that can generate sources of ignition by electrostatic discharge. In addition, it indicates the conditions of the transfer and storage processes to avoid electrostatic hazards derived from liquid transfer processes.
These hazards are relevant when explosive atmospheres are present or may be generated by gases, vapours or mists.
This standard applies to operations that cause electrostatic hazards, including filling, conveying (of the container and its contents), emptying, gauging and sampling.
