| Summary: | This document deals with the verification by calculation of the overall stability of retaining structures and of their necessary structural components at landwaves according to DIN 1054, limit state GEO-3, irrespective of their construction and type of foundation, as well as for embankments and slopes, irrespective of their shape. Regulations contained here for embankments also apply to slopes, unless otherwise stated. This document covers the bases of design and methods of calculation required to determine the ultimate limit state in cross-section in respect of rock slides on slip planes. The methods can also be used when the earth's body is deformed solely by shear zones without the formation of a sliding surface. |
