| Summary: | Fire extinguishing and extinguishing water systems are facilities for preventive fire protection and not for domestic use (see DIN EN 1717). They serve to rescue and protect persons and to fight fires. They contain drinking or non-potable water in their piping systems. This document applies to the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a) wall hydrant systems, b) extinguishing water systems "dry", and c) above- and underground hydrants systems located in the non-public area. DIN 1988-600 applies to the connection of these systems to the potable water network. |
