Summary: 1.1 Scope of FprEN 1993-1-8 (1) FprEN 1993-1-8 provides rules for structural design of joints subject to predominantly static loading using all steel grades from S235 up to and including S700, unless otherwise stated in individual clauses. NOTE As an alternative to the design rules provided in Clause 9, the design rules given in CEN/TR 1993-1-801 "Eurocode 3: Design of steel structures - Part 1 801: Hollow section joints design according to the component method" can be used. (2) The provisions in this document apply to steels complying with the requirements given in EN 1993 1 1 and to material thickness greater than or equal to 3 mm, unless otherwise stated in individual clauses. 1.2 Assumptions (1) Unless specifically stated, EN 1990, EN 1991 (all parts) and the other relevant parts of EN 1993-1 (all parts) apply. (2) The design methods given in FprEN 1993-1-8 are applicable if: - the execution quality is as specified in EN 1090-2, and - the construction materials and products used are as specified in the relevant parts of EN 1993 (all parts), or in the relevant material and product specifications.

1.1 Anwendungsbereich von EN 1993 1 8 (1) EN 1993 1 8 enthält Regeln für die Tragwerksplanung von Anschlüssen aus Stahl mit allen Stahlsorten von S235 bis einschließlich S700 unter vorwiegend ruhender Belastung, sofern in einzelnen Abschnitten nicht anders angegeben. ANMERKUNG Alternativ zu den Bemessungsregeln aus Abschnitt 9 können auch die Bemessungsregeln aus CEN/TS 1993 1 8010F0F „Eurocode 3: Bemessung und Konstruktion von Stahlbauten — Teil 1 801: Bemessung und Konstruktion von Anschlüssen mit Hohlprofilen entsprechend der Komponentenverfahren“ verwendet werden. (2) Die Bestimmungen in diesem Dokument gelten für Stähle, die den Anforderungen aus EN 1993 1 1 entsprechen, und für Materialdicken größer oder gleich 3 mm, sofern in den jeweiligen Abschnitten nicht anders angegeben. 1.2 Annahmen (1) Sofern nicht ausdrücklich angegeben, gelten EN 1990, EN 1991 (alle Teile) und die entsprechenden Teile von EN 1993 1 (alle Teile). To formalize the purchase you must access the customer area. If you are not registered as a customer, you must fill in a form with the data along with a password and username. This will create the account.

The prices of the standards and books that appear in the various sections do not include taxes or shipping costs.

AENOR promotional codes consist of alphanumeric characters and can only be applied to online purchases, received through a specific offer and for a limited time.   • Approximately three days for books purchased through the store. Stocks of paper books are limited and their offer on the website does not imply availability within the indicated period. In the event that the requested book is not available, the customer is notified of the delay in receiving the order, which will be approximately seven working days.

1. For digital products (PDF, Epub), once delivery has been made by direct download via the website in the Customer Area, you will not have the right to exercise your right of withdrawal.

2. For personalised products on paper, once the purchase has been made, you will not have the right to exercise your right of withdrawal.

3.  For all other paper products, you have the right to withdraw from the sale within 14 calendar days from the date of purchase. Remember that for the return it is essential that the product is in perfect condition, sealed by the packaging and preserving its original packaging. The customer will be responsible for pickup and shipping costs.

The order invoice includes shipping costs, so there is no amount to pay to the courier. Shipping costs are calculated based on both the final destination of the order and the number of products ordered. They include transport and packaging costs. Shipping costs are subject to periodic revisions. Outlet books will have free shipping costs only if the shipment is made in the Peninsula.
