| Summary: | DIN/TS 67600 describes the non-visual effects of light on people (cause-effect relationships) across many areas of life. Wherever people spend long periods of time, the non-visual effects of light can play a role in lighting. Therefore, this document describes the use of lighting to promote non-visual effects for all areas of life, both private and professional. It supplements existing standards on lighting and explains in general terms the approach of integrating planning without prescribing specific planning recommendations. NOTE 1 Planning requirements for the fulfilment of visual tasks are specified in DIN EN 12464 1. For workplaces in Germany, the requirements of the Workplace Ordinance (ArbStättV) and the Technical Rules for Workplaces (ASR) apply. These are supplemented by the recommendation of the Committee for Workplaces (ASTA) - Artificial Biologically Effective Lighting in Workplaces. Recommendations regarding use in workplaces and during leisure time are given in DGUV Information 215-220 "Non-visual effects of light on humans". |
