| Summary: | The general scope of this standard is defined in DIN 27200. The document DIN 27201-12, "State of railway vehicles - Basic principles - Part 12: Mandatory supervision equipments permanently installed in railway vehicles", applies to the scheduled periodic inspections, the recommissioning after decommissioning, the inspections after modifications requiring inspection and the maintenance of systems requiring monitoring that are permanently connected to the railroad vehicle. This document does not apply to: - Cargo containers; - lifting devices; - traversing bridges; - Steam boiler installations; - Fire extinguishing systems. Old vehicles that do not have a vehicle approval/vehicle type approval for the systems requiring monitoring are protected as long as no changes are made to the vehicle that require testing. |
