| Summary: | This standard is applicable to rooms (hot cells) surrounded by concrete shieldings intended for use in the remote handling of radioactive materials. It can be the subject either of plants for experimental purposes (for instance for the development of fuel assemblies, raw materials, chemical processes) of plants related to production (e. g. production of sealed radioactive sources, reprocessing of nuclear fuel or treatment of radioactive waste). The standard is intended to provide guidance for planners, manufacturers, users and administrative authorities. |
