This part of DIN EN 60749 is applicable to semiconductor devices (discrete devices and integrated circuits). The object of this test is to determine whether the device ignites due to external heating.

Dieser Teil der DIN EN 60749 ist auf alle Halbleiterbauelemente (Einzel-Halbleiterbauelement und Integrierte Schaltungen) anwendbar. Der Zweck dieses Prüfverfahrens ist es, die Entflammbarkeit von Halbleiterbauelementen in Folge von äußerer Erhitzung zu bestimmen.
